Collection: Carrier - Base Oils

  Base Oils, also known as Carrier Oils, are derived from the fatty portion of a plant, usually from the Seeds, Kernels or Nuts. Base Oils are used to dilute Essential Oils and other Oils prior to topical use. Premium quality oils are extremely concentrated and in general, should never be applied neat to the skin. Diluting the Essential oils in proper dosage levels in a base oil, will be highly effective in treatment and less likely to irritate the skin. Traditional Dosage:  * Children, infants, pregnancy, face creams ~ 2 to 6 drops of Essential Oil per ounce of Carrier oil – * Subtle aromatherapy, emotional energetic work, pregnancy, frail/elderly, face creams and oils ~ 9 drops of Essential Oil per ounce of Carrier oil   * Holistic aromatherapy, general massage work, general to stronger skin care ~ 15 drops of Essential Oil per ounce of Carrier Oil   * Stronger dilution, treatment massage, localized treatment work, wound healing ~ 30 drops of Essential Oil per ounce of Carrier Oil
